Crew Information

 

Pilots:

  • Minimum of 2,000+ hours rotor wing flying
  • Commercial and instrument certification
  • Air Methods employees

 

Nurses:

  • Minimum of three current years experience in ED or ICU
  • BLS, ACLS & PALS, instructor certification preferred
  • Pre-hospital EMS experience and flight nursing experience preferred
  • NRP, ATLS audit or TNATC
  • Certification as one of: CFRN, CEN, CCRN, RNC, CTRN
  • Additional training in advanced procedures

 

Paramedics:

  • Minimum of three years active duty as a paramedic
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, ATLS audit or TNATC
  • Certification as one of: FP-C or CCP-C

 

Medical Control:

  • Online medical control

 

Mechanic:

  • Dedicated to the aircraft 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
  • Aircraft factory certified
  • Performs all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • All components inspected, overhauled, or replaced based on specific time limits
  • Air Methods employee

 

Physicians - Waukesha Base Only:

  • When scheduled, on selected shifts
  • Second or third year residents currently participating in the Emergency Medicine Residency Program, Medical College of Wisconsin
